Mother's Day

Its almost that time of year again,the day we worship our Mom and show her our thanks.I found that when i became a Mom myself is when my true appreciation of my Mom began.I used to think i appreciated and adored her but once i had a child she became like a God to me once i realized what being a parent was like.My Son is 11 now and i have gone through many things already and am sure especially with the teenage years coming there is much more coming as well as many treasured adult years.Being a Mom is a job that has no timeclock you are on duty even while your sleeping.But there is nothing that can possibly compare to the feeling of being a Mom or the strong bond you feel for your child no matter what the age,their pain and sadness is your pain and sadness their happiness is your happiness.I feel there is nothing as strong as the love a Mother feels for her child.The feeling to take care of and protect is still there even when they are adults the only difference is when they are a child you make the choices of life for them and when they are an adult you hope you have taught them well and they make good choices in their lives on their own.So in closing i just want to say i am looking forward to showing my Mom how special she really is on her special day that lasts all year long.

Spring is in the air

I have noticed flowers starting to poke their heads out of the ground this week,i was thinking winter might actually be over,that was until i saw the snowflakes today.I am still feeling hopeful though.I have spotted the odd crocus and tulip here and there.I was given a beautiful Easter Lily this year which i may try to transplant outside soon,i do hope it lives but cant be positive it will with my lame gardening skills.I like to garden but just dont seem to be that good at it,i think i have to learn abit more about what is good for full sun,no sun etc...i have learned alot from the ones that died..lol..I have been painting a ton of flowers this month as i thnk i have spring fever,here are a few.

Odd Cat Beds

For whatever reason my cats seem to love to sleep in my sinks and bathtubs.My one cat Pal has been right in the bath tub on numerous occasions now.Usually it starts with him playing with the bubbles then before you know it he is right in there.He does try to get out right away so obviously he doesnt enjoy being soaked but still continues to bubbleplay regularly.On any given day you can usually find any of my three young cats sleeping in a sink or tub.They do have cozy comfy cat beds and many human beds and couches to pick from but still seem to like to sleep in the bathrooms for whatever strange reasons.Here is pictures of my kitty Beauty during her usual afternoon nap.

My Odd Kitties

I find even though i am one of the strange people who like winter, it is hard to get inspiration from the great outdoors for painting.It is easier during Christmas as there are thousands of Christmas ideas in my head.I like to paint florals the most so after the holiday season has past i am always looking for something to inspire me.I spend alot of time looking at books and daydreaming of flowers.
